More brake pad questions: angled plate
Hey guys.
I pulled off my 4 piston brake pads and noticed something a little peculiar.
The 2 metal plates that come into contact with the pistons don't appear to make complete contact with the angled. plate. I'm basing this on the witness marks on the angled plate.
Its appears that part of the piston hangs off the edge of the angled plate.
Is this correct? I'm concerned that someone didn't assembly this correctly or used wrong parts.
Take a look at the attached pics and you'll see the witness marks where the pistons contact. I guess it could be designe this way. Not sure why.
Thanks for your help.

Looks correct to me - the fd shims go together the same way - just make sure the arrow points the same direction as the brake rotation (when going forword! :-) ) and you will be fine.
