I was looking for parts today, and kept running across these "RARE" mookeeh parts. But I found them everywhere, so they arent rare. Sounds like some small company selling cheaply made parts.

Well, I just installed them.
I received the coilovers in 3 days.
They are a good product, and a really nice job of value engineering.
(That means they're cheap, but still work good.)
My 16 year old stock struts are just strong enough to control any bounce.
I was expecting the nicely stiffer ride, and I am very happy with the results.

They dont look all bad, it looks like a good fit. I'd buy them but I already invested in Eibachs springs.

I had to grind about 1/16" off the diameter of the top disc of the strut so the aluminum sleeve could slide down over it.
Also there was a large steel washer that backs up the top hat, and I filed its hole some to get it to slide down the piston rod.
That may have been unnecessary, since it really didn't have to slide down that far.
There was an assortment of O-rings in the kit to go between the strut & the sleeve, to center the sleeve & prevent rattles.
The Eibachs are probably better springs, but if you need adjustability and have a tight budget, these do the trick.

The 2nd gen RX-7 ones start at $130 + 30 shipping.
I plan to lean on them through Deal's Gap on Apr 8.

Yeh, i was t"hinking" that they are universal.
I've read that FRONT:8K REAR:6K
Also there's this guy that I talked to who recently purchased a set and he said the front looks funny that's why they only show the REAR on ebay...
Anyone got a clue about this?
Just a question..Aren't those too hard for like driving around the city?
Even if you have the adj shocks/struts? And also, can the shocks/struts handle those spring rates?

I've been in a couple hondas with the ebay coilovers, and I'm not a fan. The ride was OK but overall was kind of shitty. I think these are mostly for looks, and not for performance value at all. Try taking some hard turns or spirited driving on curvy roads and see what they're like after that. I don't think they'll be able to respond good enough, especially with stock shocks.

I just got an fc cand it had some cheap ebay coilovers on it, probably the same you have.
IMO: THEY SUCK! first thing Im doing is ditching them.
I am getting agx shocks cuz thats the biggest issue with my suspension now, but when installing im throwing stock springs on until I decide what I want to upgrade to.
HORRIBLE feel, smooth roads arent noticeable, but hit a bump and it feels like your riding on a brick.

Honestly i'm a little unhappy with the kit. I wanted my 7 LOW. I lowered the rear coilovers to what was perfect. The Rear looks great. Then I went to lower the front and thats where i had problems. The collar (that you spin to lower it or raise it) ended up hitting the placement screws before it was level with the rear! So I actually took the screws out and just made sure that the threaded collar was centered on the strut. THIS IS WHY THE PICTURE SHOWS THE REAR OF THE RX7 LOWERED AND NOT THE FRONT CAUSE THE FRONT CANT GET AS LOW AS THE REAR WITH THE SCREWS IN THERE. So basically my Eibach Springs were better because it was actually lower and Eibach's quality is Phenomonal (as far as handling). I'm also an autocrosser and have yet to autocross with the coilovers because the season hasnt started yet. but from illegal driving on the streets to test its handling they didnt compare to the Eibach Springs. - / Quote

My current setup is 1.3" down in front, 1" down in back, which gives me 5.5" ground clearance on 225/50-16s.
In general:
MK1 coilovers = OK
Eibachs = Better
Eibachs with Ground Control adjusters = More Better
Tokiko adjustables = Best
It comes down to how much you have to spend & how much adjustment you need.

Eibachs pro kit + Tikico Illuminas is my setup and it feels great. The response is very good eventhough the springs are progressive, but the Illuminas keep me stable.
Sureshot are you running anything else in your suspension like swaybars or strut bars?

my ******* spine twitches when i see pics of those coilovers, please don't link to them in the future to save my back the stress of having to look at those pics again.
decent drop springs give the same effect without the rigid ride, spend a couple of extra bucks and save the hassle and strain on your backs.
