I love watching Monster Garage on Discovery Channel.
Next week's episode is featuring a 90 RX-7 and they are transforming it into a sand-rail.
Granted, I hate to see an RX-7 get chopped up like that.....but who better to do it than Jesse James?
Hell, they are putting Nitrous on it too!

They better keep the rotary in it!
Especially if they are going to add nitrous to it....the only bad thing I see is the lack of body work they did with the car. They shattered out the rear hatch to make room for the tire and then I think they skipped out on the paint job due to the lack of body to paint after glass is missing.

If your talking to me, no I havent seen it. But..........I did see a preview for it and if I remember correctly it was a vert. Dont quote me on it but I think it had a trunk. Hence the vert. I just hope the parts they stripped went to a good home.

I've seen one preview of this a while back. I have a question though - Ididn't get good bit information on it all, but what is a sand rail? Or whatever they're gonna do to the RX-7...

i saw the preveiw and i also watch the show and i see them ripping up the interiors of nice looking cars.....by god it better be a white on blue vert...if i see them tearing up a white on black 5 speed vert im gonna sit back and **** and moan cuz theres nothing i can really do about it...lol but itll be a shame!! cant wait to see the show but the preveiw made the finished product look pretty ugly...on big wheel hanging out of the trunk

Yes its a convertible. They cut out the trunk for a "paddle wheel" for the sand. Yes they kept the rotary engine, they added a wet nos setup so that the fuel issues would be a bit easier. It should be shooting flames too, since thats what it was doing when they got into trouble with the forrest service.....
The car came from a local Rancho Cordova wrecking yard, thats how i know this stuff. I was hoping to be a part of it, but that fell through

The U-Joints should be for all RX-7s (TII included)
I have yet to get proper dimensions for the TII U-joint. I have tried to get a TII owner to take some measurements for me....but they never get around to it.
Take some measurements of your U-joints and I will tell you if they are the right ones. According to the book, it is for all RX-7s. Haven't tried yet though...
