Mom totalled 'vert w/new engine. Need new car fast, engine or no. HELP!

Everyones okay.

the car was t-boned into a 2002 SUV while driver pulled out on cell phone.

I have JUST put a new engine in it for her mothers day gift and it was 250 miles outside of the break in!!!!

Otherwise the car was nearly PERFECT!

I had even just color sanded the car and polished it, put new logos on it and everything!!!!

I am told that there is NO body damage beyond the shock towers, but due to the airbag and windsheild, they will totall the car.

I think its crap.

I'm flying up there to check this myself.

I will need a replacement red or (white is a second choice) convertible, nearly any condition as long as the body is good.

I will transplant the car myself by purchasing the car from the insurance company.

I ALSO am trying to get them NOT to total it!

I will get a estimate from them ASAP and post it here.

Please help me any way you can guys.

PM me if you need to.

I can send you my number.

Anyone know a reputable company in St Louis. that can help with the estimate, appraisal and possible rebuild if they can be convinced NOT to total it?

Try Honea Autobody on Manchester just west of McCausland. Good guy runs the place but decide for yourself. If you want really good, I can check with someone I know who had the rear of his M3 replaced ( from the wheel back- nice job).
There are several 7 verts for sale here right now. even a red one with 42k on it. About $7k i think. Listed in the Post-Dispatch.

Please contact the person that re-assembled that car.

I'll need his info asap.

I'll fly up and meet at the car with him.

Make me a good offer on mine...I have an 89 red vert. I really don't want to sell it, but if the offer is good enough, I can get open minded. It has a new Tranny (auto) and a new paint job. Runs great too. Just let me know if you want to make me an offer. email me at matttheman1@hotmail.com
God Bless,

Damn, it's true telus.net. Dumb people just like them make a beautiful car like that harder to find. What about this http://www.kxtv.com/storyfull.asp?id=1562 . This is what I shake my head for.

I got the PM about the guy that assembles cars.

Ill call him tomorrow.

I appriciate the offer for the older 'vert, but shes insistant on a 1991.

I still want to fly up and look at the car with the tech manual and do mesurements.

Sigh..

Would everyone open the autotrader and check for 1991-92 verts in your area?

Red or white.

I would appriciate it if someone could check the white one in Roanoake, VA (white)

Shes very interested in that one.

Probably won't be necessary. This thread is over 22 years old. Thanks for trying to be helpful though.
