modulator valve........ help!!!!!!

About all I know is it's a part on the automatic trans that has to do with shifting control and I believe it is vacuum dependent, and I have heard of them failing and letting the engine suck in auto trans fluid.
The solution to this? I'll give you a hint: manual transmissions do not have modulator valves.

I have no clue where is goes tho...kind of surprised AAP had a listing, prolly a ford part.

Ewwwwwwww. Automatic transmission. Probably cheaper to put a manual in than get that thing repaired. Just guessing. Don't have any personal experience doing that. Now I understand why I didn't recognize *modular valve*.
