mods for TII

I am new to the fc thing and turbo chraged cars but want to learn. I recently bought a 10 AE and want to modify it. looking for around 250-300 whp. Gonna do the obvious, exhaust, front mount, bov, and a few other things. What suggestions do you have and is my goal attainable without much internal work, ie. apex seal and all that jazz.
Thanks for your input it is much appreciated.

Congrats, Your goal is attainable. If your engine is health no internal engine work will be needed. Search and you shall find a great mass of knowledge to obtain.

You shouldn't need any internal work unless the engine is in bad shape. But you should first do a major tune-up (everything from coolant flush to spark plugs), and fix whatever problems you have. I think for 250-300RWHP, you will need a bigger turbo, and prolly a new clutch also. But with rotaries, DONT LET IT RUN LEAN!!! You will kill it quite easily. Now to prevent this you need bigger injectors, fuel management of some sort, my favorite is the APEXi S-AFC2, pick one up on ebay for ~$250-300 new, and a new fuel pump (either a pump from an FD or a Walbro). Once you have fuel situated, then do turbo-related mods. Get a front mount IC first, aftermarket BOV, and a boost controller, preferrably electronic (with MBCs the boost pressure can change with the weather! Its fucked up ****). Then finally slap on a bigger turbo and a 3'' downpipe, hi-flo cat (even if you don't need to pass emissions still get one, cause this bitch will be WAY TOO LOUD without one), then straight pipe back to an APEXi N1 or similar muffler. Good luck with the project and keep us posted on your progress!

I am about to do the tune up pretty quick. and i can get cost on safc's and a buch of other stuff. any hks stuf that I should invest in as I can get 20-30 percent off from a friend?????? what about a velocity stack for my turbo? is it worth it???????

You can't use it unless you do a lot of custom work to make it fit with the stock airflow meter system.
