mods?

Well I dug through the forums for awhile looking all mods and such people have listed on their cars...mine besides my new speakers is totally stock. I was wondering though what are some good mods to start off with? I've looked into replacing my radiator and hoses with some Samco replacements, but I want to get some suggestions where a good place to start would be. Ohh it's an '88 GTU.

Full tune-up. If your cooling system is fine, go to suspension.

Tokico or KYB with Racing Beat springs seem to be the most popular around here.
For cooling, most prefer Koyo or Fluidyne radiators.
Racing Beat exhausts are popular.

What are your goals?

right now my goals are to have a decent NA powerband and be able to do Autocross and road racing which I will be starting next month and I have been drifting for about 3 or 4 months now which I want to also persue. I have been looking into suspension alot and my tires I have the hook up on since I work at Discount Tire...
