Modifying stock RPM buzzer?
So I was thinking about this. We all know the cars make peak power at a different RPM. Almost none of our cars are stock and quiet enough that you cant hear the exhaust anymore.
My question: Is there a way to change when the buzzer comes on? Say 7000 vs 6500, or 7500 or 8000. My thought is to re-purpose this as a "shift light" so you know when your peak power is.

Shifting is actually based on torque, at an rpm determined by the dyno chart and the gear ratios. If you are on a strict budget then you can choose one shift rpm that is pretty close to being correct for all shifts, but you will accelerate faster if you use an aftermarket shift light with a gear sensor, and then set each of the 3 or 4 points separately.
