mixing low and hi impedence injectors
I have an 1988 N/A, and I'm having the injectors cleaned, balanced and blueprinted at Marren Fuel Injection.
I got a call today that I have two low-impedence injectors and two hi-impedence injectors. What I'm wondering is if there is a 10ohm 10-watt resistor wired inline, how I do measure for it with a multimeter?
If there isn't, what would be the result of running a low-impedence injector on a hi-impedence ECU harness without the resistor? Would the computer fail, or would the engine run lean causing loss of power and detonation?
I should point out that the injectors have never been replaced since I got the car in May 2001 (I have no documentation before that), and the computer always seemed fine.

Nothing to see here.
Unless you have a standalone ECU, the mixed injectors could fry your stock ECU if the resistors are not inline. You can measure the resistance at the injector plugs. More info on injector impedance: http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/injector.html

No no no, I already know two of the injectors are low-imp, and the other two are high. I spoke to a rep from Marren Fuel Injection (he called this morning).
I just want to make sure that there are resistors spliced in line, how can I make sure of that?

Your probably just going to have to look for the resistors. 2 most common places are by the injectors or by the ECU.
And your injector drive circut seems to be intact after 3 years of running mis-matched injectors, so I would GUESS that someone took the time to install resistors.

Probably true. I just can't verify it because I have no records, nor did I pay close enough attention when I rewrapped the wiring harness.
Well, I'll find out soon enough.
Thanks.
