Mix Gas On A Non Turbo 87?

I was wondering if any of you more experienced guys could give me any advice on wether I should pre mix my gas or go with high octane or premium on my 1987 n/a with 147k on it? I'm not sure on what would be the healthiest option since i hear so many mixed opiinions. . .I figured I should turn to the experts at this forum. .any advi ce?

Unless you are taking off the oil pump and all that other garbage for some specific reason, dont even bother. Dont premix unless you really really want to, and dont use 89 or 91 octane unless you have some kind of ecu like a powerfc or a haltech or something that will make sure ALL the gas is burned. Putting a higher grade gas in a high mileage car that usually doesnt burn everything is a waste of money. Just use 87 octane, you probably wont even notice a difference even if you did put in a higher grade. I havent heard of anything noteworthy about higher grade gas other than its better for turbo engines because it burns better with the added air.
