missing under power???

ok i have one more thing i know of now that i need help with i have a 86 turbo rx7 the car works realy good othere then when you step on it the car has a miss i think it was really bad from like 3500 till 7000 so i cahnged the spark plugs thinking that would be the problem cause they where old and used up it helped but there is still a miss ??(i say its a miss its just kinda jerky and dosent accelerate smoth) from like 3500 till 4000 and then from 6000 till 7000 the car will pull through it but works a lot better ethere before or after it misses. also its several misses not just a few. im thinking it might be the plug wires or dad thinks it might not be getting enought fuel, anyone else know we dont know roterys yet mostly just bigblock muscle cars.

It could well be bad secondary injectors.

86 turbo? Is it a conversion, or actually an 87+? There are no stock '86 turbos.

Get a timing light in there and check the signal going to each of the 4 spark plugs. Make sure there is a uniform flow of current (steady light flashes). And while you're at it, check the timing.

Another source of major hesitation can be the boost sensor, which is the small black box on the passenger side shock tower. It will have a blue/white label that says "N318" if your car is 87-88. Make sure that is plugged in and has no damaged wires.

Checking fuel pressure would also be a good idea, along with the signal to the secondary injectors.
