missing connector for theft module?

My son removed the dash to paint it black, and replaced the carpet at the same time.
We're putting it back together now and can't find a connector to plug into the theft module. He recently bought this car and we don't know if this feature ever worked.

There's a wiring harness and connector coming off of the module that we did plug into a plug behind the dash - on the right side and text in green in the picture. But, there's a connector that needs a plug to be plugged into this thing also - the red text and arrow on the left. See picture below.

We can't find the plug. I'm wondering if we might have covered it up under the carpet, or maybe it was never there. I think I remember us removing a plug from it, but am not sure.

A few questions...

Does anyone know where the wiring is coming from that needs to be plugged into this box?

Or, if we don't plug it in, will we have trouble with it starting or any other electrical issues?

Should we just remove it altogether?

I guess if it still works, we might as well keep using it.

Any suggestions?

Some cars did not come with Anti-Theft.
So I would not worry about it.
