Alternator unknown plug

Alternator unknown plug
I want to clean up my alternator wiring on my s4 t2. I undid the bundle of wires and removed the main charging wire. It branches off to another plug that has a blade connector. I was wondering what that was for.
I also was wondering if you guys had any good ideas for when I upgrade my alternator in the future. I was going to go with 4 gauge wire with an fd alternator. I haven't checked if I could get a 100amp fuse that fits in that same factory box to replace the exhisting 80 amp. And I was thinking of getting a crimp connector made for 2 gauge wire and try to fit the 4gauge and the other wire I mentioned with that blade connector.
Can anyone share the way they redid their wiring so I can get some better ideas on mine, thanks!

That single black wire will feed the fuse block.
There should be a small piece of wire attached to the fuse block with the opposing connector for that wire to attach to.
it goes to Main fuse on the one side of the fuse block.
