Misfiring and hesitation VIDEO

The vehicle in question is 1988 vert stock

I bought the car for 450 from a guy and drove it from salinas to seaside (about 40 minutes). It idles very rough, and when you take off from a light, the car bogs tremendously until you hit 4000 or so rpm. Its also misfiring a lot. Any ideas on where to begin? The plugs are fairly new, and so are the wires. But the 02 sensor hasnt been changed EVER and its got 112000 miles on the chassis. Could that be it? Included are two videos showing whats going on.

first off your revving your car when cold which is stupid to do....

check your timing
check your tps make sure they are both in spec
o2 sensor would probably give you a little less gas mileage but thats it.

Im not even revving it higher then the cold start does anyway. Would the TPS really make it misfire?

And its only hesistant when driving until I hit the secondaries, at ~3800 it smooths out and drives normal. I know on my fd when this happened it was because the vacuum line on the map sensor came off

Ummm...your idle doesn't sound too rough, nor is it high. It starts at 3000rpm to help try to warm up the car more quickly.

Well I checked the TPS, and it looks good, and the only way I know to do a vac leak check is with starter fluid, and it turned up nothing so far. Is there any other way to check for a vac leak? And could it just be the primaries are really clogged?

In all honesty, Im resolving the issue with paypal as we speak. Up until just recently I had zero access to a computer, because of the Air Force, so everything got all sorts of dicked up.

Thats where Im thinking this is heading. Ive tested the tps, the maf, no vac leaks, and fule injector cleaner is the only thing thats made a difference...

Do NOT use starting fluids, carb cleaner, or brake cleaner to check vacuum leaks. It's old school, and quite dangerous. Do this instead:

Just wanted to update that I finally have recieved my full refund. Thanks to you guys. We only have each other to keep the rx-7 community honest.

As for the seller a simple email with in the 4 months would have been nice.

Good luck with your car.
