The misfiring, especially at low speeds, Is attributed to port overlap allowing vacuum in the Manifold to draw exhaust gasses Into the combustion chamber, diluting the Intake charge and making Ignition diffiicult.

This Is especially troublesome at low rpm, where Rotaries have to run rich and constantly battle misfire because of the diluted Intake charge.

so what you're saying is an idle misfire could be caused by a not-so-free-flowing exhaust?

yea just idel

when i hit the gas VROOOOM VROOOOM

only misfire at idel and im guessing the sound of misfire is that kinda "putt idle putt putt idel" kinda sound, its hard to explain with text.

not so freeflowing exgaust OR not so freeflowing intake possibly??

or could it be my battery/alt.

small vacume leak???

Restricted exhaust would promote misfiring.

Mine does that too. It's kind of a "huuuuuuuuuum *cough* huuuuuuuuuuuuum *cough* *cough* huuuuuuuuuuuuum" type sound. It goes away when it's warmed up tho, so I'm not too worried about it.

mine has a slight misfire when warm. The idle sounds rock solid, but you can feel tiny misfires.
