Misfire?

I'm just curious, how a misfire sounds on a Rotary? At idle with my GXL, every few seconds or so (It's not consistent at all) I'll get like this very very very soft, cushy, muted sort of puff sound...kinda like bass, but not really...The revs drop such a small amount on the tach that you have to look hard to notice it, when this happens.

My other GXL did it, too and it was a rebuilt engine with low miles...so I'm just wondering if this is normal?

That, and what a misfire sounds like :-\ Sorry if this is a newbie-ish question.

Mine does the same. I always assumed it was normal since both my FB and Turbo II does it...
