Mirrors
I want to paint my side mirrors. Is it possible to remove the mirrorglas from the housing? I would think I could just pull them out, but I'm not sure how much force I can put in to it. The workshop manual doesn't say anything about this. Anyone have any experience?

Third post. I'll be nice this time n00b, but in the future, SEARCH! More often times than not, your question has already been covered. Don't lazy next time.

Yes, you can remove the mirror glass from the housing, but first you have to remove the mirror from its frame (the portion that moves with the mirror). You have to pry the corners away (the frame has a lip around the mirror) from the mirror and then some goo holds the center of the mirror to the frame. Once the mirror is off the frame you can remove some screws now accessible to get the plastic frame off the mirror housing. Use gloves - chances are you'll break one or both mirrors. Mine was broken so it didn't matter (I wasn't painting). Funny story was I placed the mirror on the frame, and then realized I couldn't attach it to the housing, so it had to come off again - I managed not to break the new one, and got some extra practice.
