minor throttle and air/fuel issues

Okay, I finally got some free time to tackle the little quirks on my car. Here goes:
  • If I release the throttle too quickly, the car jerks a bit from the sudden loss of power.
  • I checked the air control valve according to the FSM instructions. Suddenly releasing the throttle created suction, though it felt weak. Normal?
  • I adjusted my Throttle Position Sensor according to the FSM. I managed to get the resistances barely within spec, except one reading was 0.5k instead of 1k. Close enough? Should I replace the TPS? On the plus side the adjustment seems to have fixed my 3800 rpm hesitation and it seems to have fixed the popping noises I used to hear when releasing the throttle. At least so far.
  • On a very hot day the car tends to flood. I live near the beach where it rarely gets above the 80's. So it literally never happens where I live, but when I go places in the summer it may often happen on a scorching day.
  • The idle is a little rough. Like it's missing every couple seconds or something.
  • I already cleaned most of the grounds per aaroncake's grounding guide. Except for the ECU grounds, since it's harder and it seems like the P.O. already regrounded it with a crimp connection and electrical tape : / . I may put some solder on it if it matters, but to heatshrink it I'd have to pull the connection apart.

I eliminated my 3800 rpm hesitation with a minor tune up, right after repairing the wiring to the O2 sensor.

1. Checked fuel pressure (OK)
2. Checked timing and advance (OK)
3. Set idle speed and mixture per FSM
4. Checked TPS for dropouts (none)
5. Adjusted TPS for exactly 1k ohm at idle throttle
