Mid Muffler recommandation

Hey guys, just wondering what you guys recommand for a good free flow, and quite, mid muffler.

My exhaust is just too loud IMO, need something to quites it down. It draws too much attention. I heard the Dynomax mufflers are nice and quite for turbo cars, what else do you guys recommand?

Yep, the XR-1 is one of the most popular and well-liked mid-mufflers. I Think I've heard of people using magnaflows as well.

now if those are packed with fiber glass and you are running a header instead of a stock exhaust manifold you can expect the fiberglass to melt from the high heat. although throu out the time you have the muffler your car will be noticably quieter

A round magnaflow would work well, straight thru design, handles heat well, but does not dampen sound too much, but some

Thanks for the input guys!

I think the Borla XL-1 have a lot of popularity in the rx7 community. Does anyone that have XL-1 happen to have a sound clip or video that would like to share?

Do you guys think the XL-1 will quite it down enough to stay out of trouble?

A XR-1 should keep you out of trouble at least here in Florida for me...just having no self control with your right foot will get you in with the police

2 for Magnaflow mine is 10 years old and does a great job. I only have one on the very end. A little loud on my 3 inch ID 5mm thick exhaust but well within the law. And the exhaust doesn't drum because it is thick but it weighs 50 lb just for the pipe. I use small car engine mounts to hold it in place.

Who needs a under car light kit Bright orange looks great!!!

Cheers

I just bought a borla for my 3" turbo back but haven't heard it yet as my motor is out of the car however if you search on this website you will find sound clips of the borla on rotaries.
