NC miata springs

i was just wondering if
1. could anyone tell me what the diameter of the sleeve is on the stock rx7 spring
or
2. if miata springs will work on on a rx7 ?
ive tried asking stores and it seems all them do not know how to use a tape measure or are just incompetent or dont want to sell it to me.

I don't know about the fitment or dimensions but as a general rule lighter cars use softer springs so be sure to check spring rates before you order.
