miata short throw

hey guys, the stock shifter on my FC is pretty short as is... i have big hands, how much shorter is the short throw? because i would only want it maybe 2 or 3 inches shorter max

The top end of the Miata short throw lever is the same height as the stock lever.
Only the pivot ball sits higher.

The distance between the pivot ball and small bottom **** that goes into tranny selector rod is greater than a stock unit. Less leverage = shorter throw. I love mine. Works great and half the price of a Rx7 unit!

When installed, the shifter is actually taller than the stock S5 shifter, just a sorter throw. I cut mine down, so now it's at stock hight.

I have big hands too, but I have no problem shifting.
