Aside from the price of the two shifters, how well does the miata shifter work in the 7? Is the throw shorter, or is their any difference at all from the one for the 7? I have been looking and have seen a few guys are running this shifter, how do you like it? Thanks

 

i just put in my miata shifter like 2 weeks ago. its like night and day! getting into 3rd really fast is kinda a problem at first. the throw is i think more than half way shorter to.i love it.

 

Miata shifters work great. Just make sure to use new Mazda bushings. Even with a miata shifter, the bushings will be for an RX7

 

The bushing kit is the same for the rx7 as it is for the miata.

More than enough.

Remember this is a short THROW shifter, not necessarily a SHORT shifter. There is a difference
