Miata Seats or 3rd gen
I was wondering if anyone has put Miata or 3rd gen seats in their 2nd gen.If so was it hard? Any fabrication involved?I was wanting to do this on my 88 convertible since mine are ripped. I might be able to get some black R1 seats pretty cheap but i'd prefer leather and headrest speakers ala Miata.

I dont think the mounting brackets are gonna work, you could a welding shop to fabricate a mount to work. I like my TII seats, the FD seats really didnt seem to keep me from sliding around. I need to ride in one again to make sure.

Yep, i have S6 seats in my S4.
The Driver's seat was already fitted, but we fitted the Passenger seat ourselves. Only took about an hour, it was a bludge.
Basically just had to use the stock rails from the old S4 seat, bolted to a fabricated frame (read 4 bits of metal bolted together into a square) then that bolts to the seat.
That is it.
Easy.
as long as u have the stock seat rails...otherwise u might have to get a bit more creative with a drill to fit other rails to the floorpan.
