Odd...I always use heavy metal ones to add weight to the throw. Makes for smoother, cleaner, and faster shifts and virtually eliminates mis-shifts.

I can manhandle that shifter just fine with a light **** and short rod, you must be a pansy. Mis shifts are usually me going too fast for the shifter, ie still too heavy, lol.

You can get the 5 Speed rotor shift ***** off rx7.com but they are nearly 100 bucks. When i bought my short shifter kit the guy threw in a greddy metal shift ****. Looks very clean with the black top, only problem is the leather boot is too big.

Group buy awhile ago. Cant remember what I paid for mine though.... I thought it was more than $100. I guess you pay a price to have something when its new.

my brother has one and he has to put a bag over his to stop it from getting it too hot. so if you're not prepared to do that just get a leather one
