messed up wire or blew a fuse?

was messing around with my head unit trying to get an ipod to work. then when i screwed it back in i left my car and came back to none of the interior lights or gauges working. my car still drives but i dont know what i did. what fuse controls all that? i dont think its the wireing because i dont think its connected to that at all. did i push some wires onto the grounding wire and blow a fuse?

Probably blew fuse but just changing it for a new one doesn't solve whatever caused it to blow in the first place. Check your head unit for any exposed wires that may be causing shorts.

Meter fuse powers the gauges.

just checked the fuse and its fine. was looking at my chilton book and it said the tach is a yellow/blue wire, but that wire has been clipped since i had the car. im really confused can anyone give me some insight as to why all that stuff would stop working now?

The Yellow/Blue wire supplies the signal to the tach but it's not the cause of your car's lights and other gauges not working. Interior lights are powered by the Room fuse and the Room fuse is powered by the BTN fuse which is an engine fusebox fuse. If the stop lights or hazard lights worked then the BTN fuse is good.

You stated the Meter fuse is good. W/key to on then the Black/Yellow at the CPU's largest plug would have 12 volts.
