Mechanical gauge routing

I'm new to this site so I've been checking for a thread on what's the easiest/cleanest way through the firewall to run mechanical gauges. Didn't really see anything that answered my question. So if anyone can suggest a link or if you have suggestions on how you did yours I'd appreciate it. I'm going to install oil and water temp.

Thanks
Chuck

There's a bunch of ways to do it, but I got under the dash and drilled a hole through the steering column grommet. I run wires for my wideband and 3 gauges through there.

but let me just give you advice now: people will flame you on this site if they feel you haven't read the FAQ or searched thoroughly.

You can go through the firewall where the speedo cable goes.

I went through the grommet where the main engine harness wires go. Just took out a chunk of plastic with a pair of clippers and shoved the wires through.
