mech. temp gauge

Has anyone ever installed a auto meter temp gauge? Were did you hook up the copper sensor? The line that is attached seems a little short? How did you guys hook your up?

I never used an autometer gauge, but when I did an electronic gauge I mounted the sender behind the water pump. My pump had 2 holes, and I was only using one. You may have to tap a hole to do it.
