Angry Me vs. My rx7......ROUND 2!

So found out that the neutral saftey switch jumped ship. After finding out that it is a 154 dollar switch, i voted to bypass it with a wire. It started! Yeah! I win right? WRONG!

I go ten feet then....stall. Now it cranks but no start. I check all the fuses. Fine. Check the plugs in decent shape but arent getting any power. So i traced back to the starter relay. Well. Looking at both ALLDATA and my trusty haynes. There are supossed to be two fuel inj. relays and the starter relay on the drivers side of the bay by the trailing coil.

First ? --> why cant i see any fuel inj relays??!?!?! They arent there. Or at least if they are, they dont look right.

Second ? --> there is a metal thing with two wires coming off. One a round connecter w/ two males and the other a rectangle with four males. Is this the starter relay? Or some where *** aftermarket this.

AND WHY IS THERE A MITSUBSHI SYMBOL ON ONE OF MY ENGINE COMPONENTS!!!!

So anywho, this absorb a good portion of the day and NAPA, Autozone, were stumped and the dealer isnt open on Sundays.

HELP!

fuel injector relays are in front of the radiator in the plastic cubby hole opposite the overflow tank.

A lot of the electronics on the car were done my mitsubishi. I'm surprised ya never noticed it before. Back to your relays. I borrowed a pic from the engine bay thread.

All the way over to the far left just south of the overflow tank bolted to body structure. Little black boxes with lots of wires. Hope that helps.

I'll be honest. I'm not sure where the starter relay is. Never looked for it. I have had to service fuel injector relays before though.

o_O

Starter is gonna be in the transmission dude.

I almost forgot to take mine out when I was pulling the engine. ^_^ Good thing they put a tranny bolt through it.

EDIT: Pfft nm, I'll shut up now... IIRC the relay is over near it though on the firewall.

i had a similar problem wih fuel injection on my toyota truck..... trned out the fuel rail ground was bad, run a ground from your battery straight to your engine block.

and what circuits does the nss stop? cranking and anything else? i would go back and check the nss again. follow the wires manually and see where it takes you.
