MBC's Whats the ACTUAL Difference?

I've searched around and found not too much on manual boost controllers because I think a lot of the info is misinformation given by these e-bay traders who claim to have patented stuff inside the same brass stuff everyone else has. So basically what are the good/bad types of MBCs, and what should I buy that would be the best for my cheap *** to use. Also if you could point me in the direction of a specific e-bay site that has them, or an online store that would be great too. Thanks.

Build this properly and it will work just as well as anything out there and only costs you about $10-$20.

That's a good writeup. Ball & spring is the way you want to go. The bleed types are a hack way to do it.

Uh, I dunno what this is suppose to mean, but technically ANY boost controller is a hack way of controlling boost.

You want "proper" boost control, get an adjustable wastegate, period.

I don't care for any of the "manual" boost controllers out there.
$5 in parts, and they end up marking it up like 500%!

I prefer my A'PEXi Super AVC-R over any of those MBC's anyday...

For specific MBCs on ebay I can say that probably the best one out there is the lower shores performance one. I heard excellent things about it and the guy has 100% positive feedback, all 450 or so of them. A while back I installed one from conceptillusions and it works great, really I can't imagine spending $$ for an EBC, don't know how it could be better than what I have, no boost creep and terrific throttle response. My only gripe was that the powdercoating wasn't the best. Hope that helps.
