Mazdatrix True Dual for $700, $800!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got a reply from Mazdatrix to:

I was wondering if I could purchase your true dual exhaust system for 86-91 6-port n/a without the mufflers. If possible, what would the price be?
And their answer was:

No problem. For use with what style mufflers? The pipes between the pre-silencers and the mufflers are different between the RB and the HKS, and will affect the price. The RB style will bolt up to any mufflers made to fit the stock location. The RB style would run $788, the HKS style would run $687.69, but will only work with HKS mufflers, or custom pipes after the pre-silencers.
You could actually save a LOT of money by just buying the system w/o mufflers and just get mufflers of your choice.

Hope this helped a few people, it helped me.

Yah but the cost for hearing aids would offset any price savings...

You can also skip the the pipes. I am just buying the header(already have), the presilencers, and whatever muffler I want. Then I am having a shop do the piping. Altogether it should run around $900.

I'd pay a shop to make one. Save some money.

BTW - I should mention I've heard using a true dual output exhaust manifold might cause problems with the 6 ports (aka not enough backpressure).

$900????

Ya, but how trust worthy is a conventional muffler shop? why not go with the Mazdatrix, and just buy different mufflers for like $100 each and there' your proven full exhaust for $900.

If I'm not mistaken, mazdaspeed7 is running this setup on stock (albeit semi-new "stock") mufflers. He said the exhaust tone isn't that loud.

When you say complete RB exhaust are you talking about a true dual exhaust?
