Who here has Mazdaspeed(mazdacomp) competition motor mounts?

After installing the motor mounts on my car, I have noticed that the engine is sitting slightly higher in the engine bay and touching my strut tower bar. Are they meant to be like that? Or maybe my old mounts have deteriorated and collapsed after 16 years of abuse?

Also when you installed them, did you install with the new motor mounts the metal "cup" that were on the old ones? I believe that that piece is about 1/16" thick but that thickness wont raise the engine as much as it did on my FC.

 

check your tranny mounts...... if they are shot and sagging down, it will tip the front of the motor up.
