Question Mazda radio - new power antenna

Will I still need the relay setup that is discussed in the FAQ if I'm just changing the power antenna?

If you are changing the power ant and still have a stock radio, you will need a relay, however if you do not have a stock Mazda Radio and you are changing the power antenna you will not need a relay.

aftermarket or Mazda OEM power antenna???

If it is aftermarket and using the Mazda stock radio, you would need to add the relay at the antenna wired as follows:

86 12 volts
85 Mazda radio antenna lead (blue/yellow)
87 12 volts
30 to aftermarket antenna's activation lead (usually Green)
