I've had them fixed 4 times now... new parts twice. I didn't have the ***** to goto the same dealer more than twice though... the only negative response I ever got was that my stereo wiring got in their way. They always honored the recall though. I gave them a copy of the original Mazda recall notice everytime though.

Icemark, can the above phone number posted by ReTed be posted in the 2ndgen sticky FAQ?

Your convertible doesn't even have power (passive restraint) belts. The only problem I've ever seen with vert belts is the damn previous owners kept slamming the buckle tip in the friggen door jamb...

yeah, and the manual seatbelts in my vert SUCK... luckily in canada we have a lifetime warranty on ALL seatbelts, so mine will get fixed as soon as I can get down to the dealership

I've been turned away from one dealer and when I went to another, they totally hooked me up. If you know of another dealer in the area, it may be your only choice. Mazda refuses to give you the parts so that you can do the work yourself.

you could always keep telling them they're broken or something and then go selling em and so mazda loses money.

I was just reading through the old posts and something popped into my head. I would be afraid to push the dealerships a lot until they budged, and then let them work on my car. It seems like some "accidents" could happen that way if you **** those guys off enough. Of course I'm a paranoid person when it comes to other people touching my car.

If the dealership is worrying you, just take a lot of pictures of the interior as you drop off the car. Make sure the tech sees you doing this. Then, when you get the car back, you can show them the pictures and they will be forced to replace all the trim they broke.
