the joint from pic one was (and apparently has been for over 2 months) disconnected. pic 2 shows better what it is. pic 3: noticed this whilst i was on my laying on concrete. and finally pic 4 here shows......well you get it. any information on who may have done something to this quality level and called it good, i would appreciate. they need punched in the throat.

oh yeah the whole fixed it thing. woke up this morning and warmed up my bitch. it was about 50 degrees outside. after adaquate warm up i notice the growing amount of white exhaust. (growing as in over the last two months). and a major exhaust leak. (many upon further inspection) drove. got coffee. came home. yum. watched the seahawks/KC game. thats my first and second team... no comment. back on track, the car had plenty of time to return to atmospheric temp. pulled up on ramps and checked out exhaust leaks and everything else depicted. after reconnecting the pipe/tube/hose thingy that was zip tied as to not drag on the ground, i warmed her up again noting almost no whiteness in exhaust leaks or from tailpipe.??? good for me but now i'm confused. again. what did previous owner do to create this situation, what did i do to ?remedy? it? what possible effects are to be expected? obiously i have a priority project on hand here. all is well with new exhaust. in the mean time???????????????????????????????????????thnx shawn.

i know my vernacular doesn't elude to this, but i am quite interested in learning more about my car, and auto mechanics in general. serious, informative responses would be greatly appreciated.
