master cylinder

i have a 88 gxl. I belive it has no abs and i know it has AAS . Do i have to use the master cylinder for the AAS in this car if i plan on installing tokico HP's on this car? Its hard to find the correct master cylinder for this car but i think mine is out and needs replaced. I also believe it needs a brake booster too, i might try the local salvage yard but do i need one from a car with AAS?

The master for my 87 GXL and 87 TII are identical except for ONE thing. The GXL m.c. has a sensor for the AAS in it. It's supposed to firm up the front under hard braking. If you are ditching the AAS, then what does it matter if you have a sensor there? Maybe a 5 gram weight reduction?

I had no problem getting a new m.c. When I was at carquest, it was easy to get a new one. Just tell them what you have. If there is no price difference between the one w/ aas and w/o aas, then just get the one w/ aas just to be 200% sure if you want. It won't make a hill of beans.
