master brake cylinder question

my brake master cylinder is leaking pretty bad..im guessing the bushings are shot in it ..if i just go and buy a rebulid kit and get some new bushings, take the resivior off, put the new bushings in, resivior back on and fluid back in, would i have to bleed it? and does that sound like it should do the trick?

yes, youd have to re-bleed the brake system. Id recommend replacing the entire master, brakes are something i dont mind spending a little extra $$.

Yes you would have to bleed it, and yes it could work but rebuilding a master cylinder comes at a cost(if not done right). If you are sure that it will work and that you can do it right then go for it saves you about $50-$60 but if you do it wrong you could wreck your whole car(no breakes = crash). I would recommend that you replace it with a new master cylinder instead of rebuilding it.

While your at It, It's preferable to swap out a rebuilt Slave Cylinder. If original, likely scored to ****.
