Masssive End Play Problem

hey i test my endplay and get .024(mazda spec (.0016-.0028) its way off.. ive tryied diffrent spacers does anyone have any ideas thanx \

What procedure did you do to test? Everything has to be on and it has to be torqued to ~90ft/lbs if I remember.

sounds like you measured in millimeters and the spec you are using is in inches. check whether your guage reads in inches or mm and then use the endplay for the correct application.


if you measured in millimeters then your endplay actually is too tight, be sure you are using a prybar or something that can force the e-shaft forward and back to its extents or your reading may be smaller than it should be. if it is in fact too tight then disassemble the front end play spacer assembly and be sure nothing got pinched or is where it shouldn't be.

nope it is in inches, i waz at 90ft pounds... i think i found the prob but im outta time for the night so i guess ill find out tommarow
