Massive Coolant in the Oil.

So my car had a huge oil leak going on. I take it to a shop to get the leaking seal fixed. Well they pull the plug to drain the motor oil and out comes COOLANT! So in conclusion my motor is shot...
What causes this?? It seemed to run fine beforehand ..and Im obviously looking for a rebuilt 13b NA motor,,, sigh

I had this problem. It wasn't pretty. When you pull the motor apart, be prepared for beige sticky goo all over the place (the coolant & oil mix).

is blowing a water seal between the housings and irons kinda like blowing a head gasket on a normal car?
