mass airflow 86 rx7

When I start my car it goes to 3000rpm and then right away drops to 600rpm.It allmost stalls out then its fine when its dead cold.Could that be a bad mass airflow
sensor.What do you think.Thanks Rob

um actually, NO I have the same problem when its cold out. Thats just the way these cars are old age grows on them. When its warm out mine doesnt do it. Im guessing the temp cut off for me is 55 degrees, then it does it. Ive had it tested and my AFM is fine. But I also dont drive it when its cold out or winter time.

Start with a full tuneup.

Make sure that the cold start thermowax is working (you do get the 1500 RPM idle when the car first starts and doesn't stall, right?).

Check for vacuum leaks.

Make sure the engine coolant temp sensor reads within specs.
