So how long should i leave it in the crankcase? I think i will add it today and change out the oil by fri. So it should be a little cleaner. I saw and read that thread but it didn't answer all my Q's hence whyn posted this one to be more specific. I heard about that Microlon stuff from Aero guys who have rotaries in their ultralights

My engine is very recently rebuilt(9k miles), so I dont think there is much in the way of deposits. I changed the oil, and used 1 qt of MMO and 4 qts of oil. Ive been driving on it a week, and my oil is still quite clean, so Im just going to go the full 2500 miles with it in. I will continue to use it for its lubricating properties, and how much smoother it makes my engine.

Im guessing that your engine has a good nuymber of miles on it, so I would add it to the oil before you change the oil, and give it a week or so to break up any deposits. Then you could use it again when you change your oil if you wanted.

Have you heard any good/bad things about Microlon from the people that have used it? My dad is a pilot, but he doesnt know anyone who has used it before. I would really like to hear some first-hand experience with it.
