Marren FPD retrofit questions

These questions are directed towards cluosborne mainly, since he wrote that awesome guide on the Marren FPD retrofit.

I found some pre-made -6AN stainless steel braided hose online, 1 foot long. I've never constructed hoses before, so I would like to buy this pre-made one. But is 1 foot too long? Is there enough space for it to fit?

(from cluosborne's guide)

4. Install the -6 AN to 12MM x 1.25" adapter onto the rear of the primary fuel rail (using the crush washer and tighten to prevent leaks)

The banjo bolt is now where the old FPD was. So then this adapter goes where the banjo bolt used to be. I found two adapters from summitracing.com, and I'm not sure which to use.

I'd prefer to use the second one, since it's cheaper, but will it fit? It seem that it'll cause the hose to poke straight out of the primary fule line.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry it took so long to respond. EAR-991945ERL is the adapter I used and the one I meant in the guide. The first one will not allow the SS hose to be used because it'll cause clearance issues with the block or UIM depending on orientation.

1 foot SS hose is a little too long. Making an SS hose isn't hard to do. There are some good guides online at Hodrod.com or other sites. Cutting the hose is the hard part because the stainless steel braid is very tough. A house-hold tool isn't going to cut it (no pun). You'll need a proper hose cutter or simply have a shop cut the hose for you.

As for terminating the ends, you can use standard metric wrenches to do the assembly (they will mar the finish, but it'll get the job done). Once again, just look up a guide on making a hose--it's pretty easy.
