Marker lights! custom center console!

Hey guys and gals...

Well, i posted a couple weeks back about a wiring issue i had, and well, several weeks later, i solved most of the problem. Car starts, runs, drives...No leaks, no problems with shorts..

Over now, im stuck...When i turn the marker lights on at the dash, only the headlights come on..Ok, so this says to me, something between the front...rear isnt connected...ive traced all the wiring, and everything is plugged in and grounded properly..But, still my marker lights dont come on..
All the brake lights, turn signals and flashers work, i just dont have marker lights, all bulbs are brand new...

I already have it setup to put the markers to a switch, but, i figured since PA got some rain today, ill toss it on the board to see if anyone can help me solve this without running new wires, and putting them to a switch...

Oh, yeah, i took the motor and everything from an s4 and dropped it into an s5 shell...

But here's my handy work...I saw this done on a 1st gen rx7, and figured i'd give it ago.. Its a piece of metal, lol, the door to a house/commercial fuse box, cut, bent, and pound to give it shape, all holes were cut for guages and switches and i still have room for a cd player, but i think im moving it behind the seats or into the glove compartment...not sure tho...

Above the guages is a row of about 6 switches.. Fuel pump, efan, fog lights, (tentitivly the marker lights) leaving a couple left over if i decide to make my car "unstealable"

its all one piece and covered in black tweed...

of course check all the fuses under the dash, and its a possibility that your switch is failing. Probably a fuse or a faulty switch.

i would start by tracing wires with a circut tester to see where you get juce and where you dont start from the lights and work tward the switch youll find the problem someplace. if your getting power you may not be grounded well youd have to find the common ground...

Nice work on the console mine is all busted and im looking to do something like you did good work

Thanks man, its the 1st time i ever attempted a project like that, at 1st it was, i see what your doing but, ehhhhh...........than after a couple more passes with a hammer and an anvil, it started taking shape, and once it was covered it looks very good...Probably one of the nicest things ive fabbed by hand..

If it ever stops raining, im going address my lighting problem,
Unless someone knows where the common ground for these would be?!

im going to reposition a couple grounds in the rear, i think it might be over too far...i dunno we'll see..

Thanks again guys

there is a fuse high jacked into one of the wires by the switch...it keeps popping, but i havent the slightest idea what the fuse is actually for........? maybe thats it?

all the ideas make we wish i had a real garage....
