To the haters saying change the bumper. Take a real close look at all the Mariah Mode 6 cars, the bumper is molded to the front fenders in every pic. If this one was done right it will be molded too, which would make changing the bumper a real pain in the ***...
I'm not really a big fan of the front bumper. I had at one point been pretty interested in the mode 6 kit myself but the bumper killed it for me. Too much of an old supra\knight rider look.
Well hopefully this week I will be able to take a look at the car and take some pics. I am not the biggest fan of the entire kit personally. But when I found out i could get it at under $1k, I figured why not, I like Rx-7's and this one is pretty unique. A little work and I could make it a decent car and/or sell it.
Oh yeah, the reason its in this junk yard/salvage yard (:where a buddy of mine just picked up a Boss Mustang and there is a split nose Camaro) is that the car was stolen then recovered abandoned 2 weeks later. The woman that owned did not want to keep it anymore and totalled it and its been sitting at this yard for almost 2 years. No accidents but its a salvage title, and the paxton super charger was the only part taken from the car by a friend of the guy who told me about this car. If I can get that blower back on, and make some decent power numbers, it may be a worthwhile investment.
Right now i am just trying to do my homework, before committing any of my time and money into this car.
I appreciate all the feedback, even the flames. I can see that turning this car around wont be easy and that my consumer base is actually very small. i would say that 10-20% of FC enthusiasts would be interested in this car and thats it. At this point, I would probably buy it for a daily driver until its built up and possibly sell it if any serious inquiry is made.

Dude Many People Dont Know Whats Good For Them. If You Can Get That Car And Spend 2-3 Grand Restoring It You Spent 3 Grand For A Supercarged Mariah Widebody Rx7. The Price Of The Kit Alone!!! I Envy You Right Now.
one more for you...

On the blue car... that was one of the first few MODE6 rides out there. The original owner chose a different rear wing and smaller tires than the standard kit, but it was his car and what he liked so... what can one say, right!

I agree, I'm not a big fan of the front bumper but I was still interested in the kit, I'd jump on that. I loved the look of the rest of the kit and quoted a price with install and paint from them at about $8k Now that kit with the knightsports bumper would be awesome.
Interesting to find a Mariah in junkyard, if it really is get it! You will need to get a set of wheel, I'm sure that it doesn't have wide enough wheels on it if it's sitting in a junkyard. BTW you will hear lots of **** about the kit being ugly, trust me I do.
I think that kit looks great, just I don't care for how it curves down at the back of the door. I think it'd look better if it just 'smoothed' into the door. But besides for that little nitpick I really like that kit.

Rotordad what size/offset rims are you running sir?
