Damn. Too bad you don't live near RI. I would trade. I hate power windows.

I hate them too. They make sense in a big car where you can't reach the passenger side crank from the driver's seat, but that isn't an issue in an RX-7. I am considering changing my convertible over to manual windows because the power windows have died for the second time now and I am getting tired of wasting my time on this.

for the marginal weight im fine with the power windows. keep em lubed and the contacts clean on the switches and they shouldnt give you alot of issues

Don't forget the interior door panels as well, unless you want to put up with the hole left by the crank.

If you don't use the factory switches (and I recommend not doing so because they are very unreliable) you can find a nice set of toggle switches and wire them in yourself. Most of the hot rod companies sell these switches. Then you can place them anywhere you want. I have mine right in front of the shifter on the center console so they are easy to reach.

I ran into two issues with my last car (03 tiburon):
Sunroof died while open and raining.
Ground issue where I had to bump start the car. When I got to work in new haven and shut the car off, passenger window was down. Cant put it up without the car running. Ground was flat. Had to drag friends away from work to help bump start it again to put the window down.

I'm all set with power stuff.

I hate power windows. One more there to wear out and break honestly. I have them on my S5, and every time I use them I see time on their lives ticking away...
