are the poly ones going to be molded, or machined? I haven't come around to it. but I may think about making delrin ones for my car. I need to look at it and measure it out. I don't think I will be trying to sell fc parts this time around though, I doubt it will be worth the effort. I'll let you kjnow LargeOrange in case you want a set. I'm in the middle of other things for my car at the moment, so I wont have time to start a new project until a while

i measured the manual rack at 32mm. searched ebay and there are a few options for 32mm sway bar bushing that are the same, dodge ram and mid 90's camaro's .
may need to take a bit of the bottom off the bushing but i think these should work fine, and like clokker said you have one to practice on.
here are some links iam going to order a set today i will let you know how it turns out

bushings came in only took two days ordered straight from energy suspension.
fits great just have to slightly elongate the holes for the bracket 1/8'' on each side at most.
just have to clean up the rack and paint it and i will post finished pictures
i used the universal 32mm one i listed in the above post.

I just used a power steering bushing and got a friend to make a billet adapter to increase the diameter of the non power rack to match the power steering rack. Pretty simple design but it works perfect and can still order bushings from mazda.

yep, mounting bracket and bushing is off my power steering setup, What it essentially does is increase the diameter of the non power steering rack to be the same diameter as the power steering rack.

Hey guys,
New to the forums so sorry if the ateached pic comes out huge. I swapped my FC to manual steering and had the same problem finding poly bushings or even factory rubber ones for spares. Fortunately I had a good rubber version and sent it off to Ricochet Polyurethane Technologies for them to model a new Poly version with.
I'm not sure exactly when they'll be offering it, seeing as how the prototype was just delivered and installed today but now we have an actual option! They fit great, ship fast and are pretty cheap.
sorry in advance for bringing up an old thread. Passenger side manual rack bushing

I'm getting some noise from the front end when doing tight turning at low speeds.
All the other bushings were just replaced with Poly, the balljoints, tierods (inner and out), springs and shocks are new. I figure these 32 year old bushing are the likely cause.
Question:
Do I need to remove the rack, or remove the the passenger outer tie rod end and the boot in order to replace the bushings with the ricochet ones??

Thanks for responding. I've ordered the part, I'll soon find out.
I asked because, looking at the available picture online, it appeared that only the drivers side was "split." The unusually shaped passenger side bushing looked to be solid.
I ordered the part three days ago, I haven't received shipping information yet, so I don't expect this to be arriving too quickly.
In contrast to Mazdatrix which have amazing response and shipping times.
