Manual steering rack alignment
I installed a 2nd gen manual steering rack into my 3rd gen rx7 almost a yr ago.
Wheels are completely lined up but to turn left it is 1 1/2 turns. This is just fine. Then to turn right it is 2 complete turns and the wheels go further right than they do left by only couple inches.
No matter how many times i re align and realign.I keep running into this problem. If i adjust it one way too much, the arm will come out of the tie rod.
Any ideas?

Do you think a half turn is that much more of a big deal.Should i have someone modify the rack?Or should i try to find an aftermarket rack? What does the JGTC 3rd gen use?I would figure a 2nd gen rack?

well no, but what i mean is that perhaps it doesnt sit smack dab in the center because the mounting points may be different, know what i mean? It may sit an inch to the left... or to the right. If the car stays straight, and your steering is otherwise unaffected... then i'd just let a minor "side effect" like that slide
