Question about starter fluid for vapor locked TII
First of all it is an 88 TII. I have the car on jacks because I'm replacing brake calipers and stuff so I was starting the car once a week and letting it warm up then shutting it off just so it wouldn't sit for a long while. Well, while I was doing this it ran out of gas and stalled so I left it and didn't get gas in it for about a week. I put in about 2 gallons and tried to start it. No go. Thought it might be flooded so I pulled the EGI fuse, cranked it for 20 seconds, put it back in... still no go. I am hoping that the car is just vapor locked but I'm not sure.
If it is vapor locked I was wondering if I could just use starter fluid to get it running. Is this okay? Is it even vapor lock? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I can't say from personal experience, but I have "heard" people having problems with starter fluid and it hurting the engine... so I'd look into it before you do
there is a jumper that you have to ground and then turn the car to run to reprime the fuel system... you might have to do that....
they say what to do in the fsm and in the haynes manual under fuel filter replacement... that might help
