Manual rack to Power steering?

I have a 87TII. It came with a manual rack. I want to convert to power steering. Are there any problems with doing this? Can this be done? Will a 87' P/S system bolt in? Thanks for all the help!

Sure! I have to find a complete system 1st, then swap it out. And then I will sell it to you.

Trade? Well I can't really have any down time, I use this car to get around. And your so far, shipping all that to me would be a lot. I have no experience with P/S, so it might take me awhile to get it on. Do you guys know how hard it is to do? And do I have the harness/plug for the computer? Or do I have to wire that up? Thanks for all the help.

A trade would be great cause then I don't have to buy anything, if we can work something out. Oh, but I would also need the bracket, cause I have no A/C.Thanks!

when you go to powersteering...

The passenger side bracket that loops over the top of the rack is unique to the PS rack along with the rubber bushing. Make sure you get that from the person you buy the rack from.

Thanks, yeah it makes it hard to get all the parts when I don't know what they are. Hopefully I can get it from a shop with a parts car. Thanks for the tip Wankel7, I'll be sure and get that.

So anyone know how hard this is to do? I only have hand tools.
