Manual Brakes?

I was just wondering if any FC's came with manual brakes. When I bought my car, I was told it had manual brakes. Im not really sure how to test it for sure, but it feels like it has manual brakes. If they dont come with them, is it possible to change them to manual brakes? It wouldn't surprise me at all if the guy I bought it from did this.

Huh?

Manual as opposed to power brakes? Pretty much every modern production car (including all RX-7s) come with power brakes - that's what the big black brake booster that the master cylinder is attached to does.

Power brakes = good thing.

All FCs had power brakes. As dcfc3s, the big black thing behind your brake master cylinder on the firewall is called a power booster. Ive you've ever driven a car without power brakes, youd know the difference very quickly.

Thanks for the info. I've actually driven a car without power brakes (Austin-Healy), and it really wasn't too much different from my car, but I do have power brakes. Maybe I just misunderstood him.

Yea Ive never seen a 7 (or any modern car) with manual brakes. Even my ~20 year old benz has power brakes . He prolly meant ABS.

i don't see how you could go without them. its incredible how much extra force is applied through mechanical advantage of the pedal and through the brake booster. take whatever pounds of pressure you apply and multiply it by about 5 or something. without power brakes you'd have to stand on the pedal to get some of the same effects.
i'll see if i can find the formula in my brakes book.
