Manual Boost Controller

Is a manual boost controller from TurboXs or Greddy a good, reliable way of controlling boost, as in preventing spikes/creep? I have a S5 turbo

Thanks

Im not sure of the greddy but the turbo xs are known to leak on occasion. My brother got rid of his for that problem.

Build your own so you can set your own valve size and spring strength, then you won't have to worry about spiking and will have saved yourself $50.

just make sure it's a ball and spring one. not a bleed one. alot of them are bleed type.

and no boost controller will lower creep.

Ok thanks. I'm guessing that creep isn't as bad as spikes, but I will just have to keep my eye on the boost guage to make sure it doesn't creep much at all right?

Oh yea, can someone please tell me why people would want to go with an electronic boost controller if the manual controllers are so cheap? I think I'm missing something here... lol

Also, does anyone have a break-down of parts or an exploded picture of a manual boost controller?

Thanks!
